This Privacy Policy explains what information WriteAPoem.org collects when you visit https://writeapoem.org, how we use it, which third parties may collect information through our site (including for advertising), and the choices you have.
Information We Collect
Information you give us. When you email us or leave a comment, we receive the information you choose to provide, such as your name, email address, website and the content of your message or comment.
Information collected automatically. Like most websites, our server and the services we use may automatically record technical information when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type, device type, operating system, referring page, the pages you view and the date and time of your visit.
Comments. When you leave a comment, we collect the data shown in the comment form, your IP address and your browser user agent string to help detect spam. An anonymized string created from your email address (a hash) may be sent to the Gravatar service to check whether you use it; Gravatar’s privacy policy is available at https://automattic.com/privacy/. After your comment is approved, your name and profile picture are visible to the public next to your comment.

Cookies
Cookies are small text files stored on your device by your browser. We and our partners use them for the following purposes:
- Essential cookies that make the site work, for example to remember your comment details if you choose, or to keep site administrators logged in.
- Analytics cookies that help us understand how visitors use the site, if analytics services are enabled.

Consent for Visitors in the EEA, UK and Switzerland
Where the law requires it, including for visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, we ask for your consent through a consent message before cookies are used for personalized advertising. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time through the privacy settings link provided with that message, or by clearing your cookies.
Analytics
We may use analytics services such as Google Analytics to understand how visitors find and use our pages. These services collect information such as pages visited, time on site and approximate location in aggregated form. You can prevent Google Analytics from using your data by installing the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
Embedded Content from Other Websites
Some pages include embedded content, such as videos. Embedded content behaves exactly as if you had visited the other website, which may collect data about you, use cookies and track your interaction with that content.
